The lighthouse is a cylindrical brick structure painted with a black and white spiral stripe, tapering upward from an octagon-shaped, red-brick and granite base and topped with an iron and glass lantern. A short flight of stairs leads to the doorway, which is framed in granite and surmounted by a classical pediment.
