WebJul 9, 2011 · Try and unscrew the bolt - you may be lucky and find it has turned the bolt threads over without affecting the (much harder) camshaft thread. If so, you just need a new bolt and some threadlock. If the cam thread has come off with the bolt you need a camshaft. Don't even bother trying to helicoil/tap it, just get a cam.
