Photometric visual servoing
WebMar 15, 2024 · DVS bypasses the feature matching and tracking process by using all image information for visual servoing. In the first paper that has proposed (and entitled) DVS, all pixel intensities are used as features for visual servoing; this method is called Photometric Visual Servoing (PVS) (Collewet and Marchand, 2011). Webmetric visual servoing4 is mainly based on the simple extraction of the image gradient, consequently removing any other necessity for image processing. The main draw-backs of photometric visual servoing are the strong non-linearities in the system dynamics: to address this problem, the use of photometric moments has been introduced.
