Webb6 feb. 2024 · Windows Server So i worked out the configuration and networking required to pxe boot across my WAN but now im noticing that it is extremely slow to load the .wim file. Im working with WDS and deployment workbench on a windows server 2008 r2 box. MTU on my interface here is 1500. WebbAfter excluding the file type of WIM from Deduplication and deleting then redistributing the content, the PXE boot time is now down to around 1 minute. (This is on a USB-C Ethernet adapter, so may be faster on a real NIC) - this does not explain why it's fine on some DPs without this exception though...

For complex issues like this, there is no silver bullet. At this point, AcetiK is correct, if the problem is that the PXE server is not responding, then this is *NOT* a MDT issue, this is a Windows Server WDS issue.
